Choose a space with plenty of natural light, not only does this help the makeup artist but with getting beautiful photos too.
Have your dress, shoes, jewellery, invitations and other accessories ready. This allows for beautiful flat lays and detailed shots.
Make sure to include your bridesmaids, family members, or anyone who will play a significant role in the day. Candid shots of the excitement and interactions will add depth to your photo collection.
Photography Timing: Allow 1-2 Hours
The getting ready photos are a wonderful way to kick off your wedding day, capturing the anticipation and excitement as you and your bridal party prepare for the big day. This stage typically starts 1-2 hours before your ceremony to allow ample time for hair, makeup, and getting dressed.
the
Timing: 30-60 Minutes
The ceremony is the heart of your wedding day, where you exchange vows and officially become a married couple. This stage usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the length of your ceremony and any additional elements like readings or musical performances.
Usually the day before your wedding you will have a rehearsal. This is the time to go over everything, including nailing the timing to your walk down the isle, where everyone will stand, your first kiss and walking back down the isle.
Discuss any specific photo requests or restrictions beforehand. Reminding your celebrant to step to the side for your first kiss is always a good idea so they are not in the shot!
cocktail
Timing: 1-2 Hours
Cocktail hour is a great opportunity for guests to mingle and enjoy drinks and appetizers while you and your new spouse take a moment for yourselves. This stage typically lasts around 60 minutes and provides a perfect backdrop for candid and relaxed photos.
If you have unique cocktails, canapés, or entertainment, I will make sure I capture these details to add a personal touch to your album.
I recommend to keep this list to around 10 groups. It can take up too much precious time otherwise and you can get over it very fast.
Remember, cocktail hour is also a chance for you to relax and enjoy the beginning of your celebration. Use this time to connect with your spouse and guests.

Portraits are a key part of your wedding day, allowing you to capture beautiful images of the bridal party, and of course, the newlyweds. This stage typically lasts between 1-2 hours, depending on the number of people and locations for photos.

KEY POINTS
PLAN FOR LOCATIONS
Choose locations that complement your wedding theme and offer a variety of backdrops. Whether it’s a picturesque garden or an urban setting, having options will give your photos diversity.
ALLOW FOR FLEXIBILITY
While it’s good to have a plan, be flexible and allow for spontaneity. Some of the best portrait moments come from unplanned interactions and candid shots.
SUNSET PHOTOS
While we cannot control the weather having a dedicated time slot for sunset photos within your timeline is a must have. The light is always stunning at this time and it’s another chance to have a special moment with just the two of you.
the
Timing: 3-4 Hours
The reception is where you and your guests can truly let loose and celebrate. This stage typically lasts between 3 and 4 hours and includes the grand entrance, dinner, speeches, dancing, and all the fun activities planned for the evening.
Having a great MC to keep things on track is vital. A great MC will also hype your guests and get them excited for the night ahead.
Most people will remember a wedding for the food and dance floor so make the most of it and enjoy it with all your loved ones. These moments often reflect the true spirit of your celebration.
