Welcoming this lovely family into my New Plymouth home studio for their newborn session was such a heartwarming experience. They recently welcomed their second child, a sweet baby boy, who was already surrounded by so much love and joy. His proud big sister, beaming with excitement, was absolutely wonderful to capture as she gently cradled her little brother, radiating pure affection. This family’s journey is as beautiful as the bond they share—from their roots in Sri Lanka to starting their family in Dubai and now settling in Taranaki, New Zealand.
As I photographed this session, I couldn’t help but admire the deep connections between each family member. Their rich cultural heritage, intertwined with their new life here in New Zealand, added a unique depth to the images. The big sister’s pride, the parents’ quiet joy, and the newborn’s serene innocence all came together to create a collection of photographs that tell a story of new beginnings and enduring love. It was an honor to capture this beautiful chapter in their lives, and I am so grateful to be part of their journey.
